In addition to their highly successful digital otoscopes, digital dermatoscopes, and iris scopes, Firefly is now offering the DE605 General Examination Camera for telemedicine applications. The Boston based company, which has been selling its cameras to some of the most prestigious telehealth organizations around the globe for over 6 years, cultivated feedback from its partners to develop the camera every telemedicine deployment has been missing.
The DE605 is designed to be the go-to camera for any telemedicine integrator or telehealth provider looking for a high powered, economical general exam camera. With its next generation image sensor the general exam camera can achieve a resolution higher than HD, offering crystal clear images of close or distant targets, such as the skin, inter-oral, portrait, full body, or mobility exams.
Like all Firefly telemedicine devices, the DE605 will work plug and play with all 3rd party video conferencing solutions. Other features include water resistance, polarization, 16 ultra-bright LEDs, and snapshot capabilities, all while being affordable.
Dan Lucey, Director of Business Development for Firefly, explains how the DE605 was developed– “While our telemedicine deployments were growing rapidly, we found a gap in available camera peripherals. Working closely with our telemedicine partners we designed the general exam cam to be highly durable, easy to use, multifunction, and low cost. Now that the exam cam is available we are excited to see it deployed around the world.”
Firefly Global is in the business of making high quality, affordable, endoscopy cameras, video otoscopes, digital dermatoscopes, and telemedicine peripherals for organizations worldwide. Firefly wireless and wired cameras are small, easy to use and cost effective, making them perfect candidates for small clinics, surgical centers, and remote deployments. Already popular in Ear-Nose-Throat, Primary Care, Audiology, Telehealth and Dermatology, the number of practices, clinics, and system integrators using Firefly are multiplying rapidly.
