Mount Sinai Health System, one of the nation’s largest integrated health care delivery systems, announced today that executive leaders will be presenting at the annual Arab Health Exhibition and Congress from January 29 to February 1, 2018, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates. They will share expertise in delivering innovative, high-quality, safe, and effective health care with industry leaders from the Middle East and around the globe.
Szabi Dorotovics, MD, President of Mount Sinai International and Vice President of International Business Development at Mount Sinai, will participate in the “Critical Issues in Healthcare: A Global Perspective” panel; and Abby Schwartz, RN, BSN, MBA, Director of the Diabetes Alliance and Wellness at Mount Sinai Health System, will participate in the “Women in Healthcare – Driving Change” panel. Ms. Schwartz will lead an integrated care session titled “Creating the Perfect Marriage: Blending digital and personalized care to address the epidemic of diabetes and obesity throughout a multicultural patient population.”

Szabi Dorotovics, MD, MBA, is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in strategic positioning, business development, and enterprise management in global health care delivery. He has brought numerous projects to operational and financial success and continues to build a large personal network of health care executives, corporate leaders, and top government officials in Europe, Latin America, China, and the Middle East. Since 2014, he has led Mount Sinai International LLC, the organization that was established as a part of the Mount Sinai Health System to provide strategic focus for international consulting, educational and clinical care collaborations, and oversight of institutional affiliations with foreign organizations.
Abby Schwartz, RN, BSN, MBA
Director of the Diabetes Alliance and Wellness
Abby Schwartz is the Director of the Diabetes Alliance and Wellness at the Mount Sinai Health System. She is a clinical operations professional who focuses her passion for health care in building patient- and employee-focused wellness, care management, and disease management initiatives that drive innovation, improved health outcomes, and satisfaction. She has designed the infrastructure for, and cultivated medical teams to support, the optimal management of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease, smoking, and cancer throughout her career at Mount Sinai Health System, XL Health, National Jewish Health, and the University of Pennsylvania Health System. As the Director of the Diabetes Alliance for the Mount Sinai Health System, Ms. Schwartz leads wellness initiatives including cooking demonstrations, personal nutrition counseling, diabetes care management, smoking cessation, and digital wellness programs for Mount Sinai employees. She is working with the Director of the Mount Sinai – National Jewish Respiratory Institute to establish a Health System-wide peri-surgical smoking cessation program. This program includes physician and patient engagement tools, clinical standard operating procedures, and outcome metrics. She leads a team of practitioners who serve patients and employees at 30 primary care, multispecialty, and cardiology practices throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
